Genuine Rubber B and Horus straps for Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Cartier and more — how to pick the right fit by model and lug size, rubber vs. leather trade-offs, and what to check before you buy.

Rubber B vs. Horus — which strap

Rubber B and Horus are the two established names in aftermarket rubber straps for luxury sports watches. Both are built to the exact lug geometry of the reference they're cut for — a properly fitted strap should sit flush against the case with no gap, the way an integrated bracelet would. Rubber B tends to run a firmer, more structured rubber; Horus leans softer and closer to the factory-rubber feel on models like the AP Royal Oak Offshore and Richard Mille pieces.

Fit by model and lug width

Strap fit is model-specific, not just lug-width-specific — the same 20mm lug width can need a different curve depending on the case. Match the strap to your exact reference (e.g. Rolex Submariner 41mm vs. Daytona) rather than going by lug size alone, and confirm the buckle or deployant is rated for the strap thickness.

What to check before you buy

Look for a strap cut and vulcanized specifically for your reference, a deployant clasp that matches your case finish (steel, gold, ceramic), and confirm return/exchange terms in case the fit isn't right out of the box.
