Introduced in 1992, the Rolex Yacht-Master reinterprets nautical sport with a refined, jewelry-adjacent character. Its raised, rotatable bezel — executed in precious metals, platinum-coated Oystersteel, or titanium — distinguishes it from the tool-focused Submariner. Spanning 29mm to 42mm across two-tone, Rolesium, Everose, yellow gold, and titanium configurations, the Yacht-Master bridges active wearability and dressy luxury across an unusually wide collector demographic.

Start with size: 29mm and 35mm references (68623, 169622) are ladies' and mid-size; 40mm and 42mm cover the men's range. Metal composition is the dominant value driver — solid Everose (116655) and yellow gold (16628) references carry significant premiums over Rolesium (Oystersteel with platinum bezel) pieces. The discontinued 116655 — 40mm Everose on Oysterflex — remains highly sought and trades firmly above its original retail. The 226627 offers a compelling proposition in lightweight RLX titanium at the 42mm scale. Prioritize full set (box, papers, hang tags), unworn condition, and original bracelet or strap; aftermarket rubber swaps meaningfully reduce resale value.
Launched 1992 in 40mm yellow gold (16628); ladies' two-tone and Rolesium variants expanded the matrix through the 2000s. Oysterflex arrived circa 2015–2019 across gold references. Titanium joined the lineup in 2019 with the 42mm 226627.

The $7,061–$31,625 range spans Rolesium ladies' references at entry to solid-gold and titanium 42mm pieces at the ceiling; metal composition dictates most of the spread. Current live range: $7,100 – $48,450. Prices shown are wire; card adds 3.5%.
